Acne and spots

Acne is a very common skin condition that will affect almost everyone at some point in their life. The condition causes spots to develop on the skin, usually on the face.

Acne often effects teenagers and younger adults and is most common in girls between the ages of 14 and 17, and between 16 and 19 in boys.

How to prevent acne

Keep your skin clean to prevent new spots developing; wash the affected area regularly with a mild soap or cleanser. Avoid scrubbing the skin as this may cause irritation. Try not to pick or squeeze spots as this can lead to scarring and spreading.

Remember to keep skin well moisturised, Sudocrem is particularly effective for this purpose.
